ABBI JACOBSON is a co-creator, writer, director, executive producer and star of the critically-acclaimed show Broad City. The show was renewed for a fifth and final season which is currently in production and airing Thursdays at 10pm ET/PT on Comedy Central. Broad City was previously nominated by the Writers Guild of America for ‘Best Comedy Series.’ Recently, she can also be heard voicing the character “Bean” in Netflix’s series Disenchantment by Matt Groenig, which was recently pick-up for season 2. Recently, Abbi released a new book, I Might Regret This, published by Grand Central Publishing which hit the New York Times Best Sellers List. She is already a New York Times-bestselling author of her illustrated book, Carry This Book, which showcases bright, quirky, and colorful line drawings at the world around us, all through the framework of what we carry. She also has two coloring books: Color This Book: New York City and Color This Book: San Francisco. Currently Abbi is writing and executive producing for an Amazon series, A League of Their Own, based on the 1992 film of the same name. In addition, Abbi, along with Ilana Glazer, have signed a first look deal with Comedy Central and Viacom Television networks and currently have two projects already in development at Comedy Central under the new pact including: Mall Town USA and Young Professionals. Recently, Abbi can be seen starring in Netflix’s 6 Balloons, alongside Dave Franco. Other past films include the Dustin Guy Defa directed film,Person to Person, opposite Michael Cera and Michaela Watkins, the animated Warner Bros. film, The LEGO Ninjago Movie, directed by Charlie Bean and Paul Fisher, and opposite Olivia Munn, Justin Theroux, Dave Franco, Jackie Chan and Fred Armisen; and the Universal feature film Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Abbi also hosts A Piece of Work podcast with WNYC and MoMA, in which she discusses modern and contemporary art in lively conversations with curators, artists, and friends including Hannibal Buress, Tavi Gevinson, RuPaul and Questlove.
