Brandon Lay

EMI Records Nashville’s Brandon Lay grew up in Jackson, Tenn. - in between the blues, soul and rock-and-roll of Memphis and the country music capital of the world in Nashville. Influences from both legendary music cities can be found throughout Brandon’s work. Brandon recently made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry announced by country music icon Bill Anderson and was named one of Vevo’s 2019 DSCVR Artists To Watch. Brandon’s debut single, “Speakers, Bleachers And Preachers” co-written by Brandon with Luke Laird and Shane McAnally, is autobiographical and walks listeners through the three biggest influences in his life - music, sports and faith. The tune sparked an immediate reaction with listeners impacting the Spotify U.S. Viral chart, cresting as high as No. 7 and amassing over 43 million streams. This past May Brandon released his second single titled “Yada Yada Yada” which was penned by Brandon, Heather Morgan, and Mike Reeves. He recorded a stripped-down performance of the song in the greenroom of Nashville’s famed Marathon Music Works, which can be viewed HERE. Rolling Stone has described his music as “a country-rock version of Bruce Springsteen.”

Brandon, who moved to Nashville in 2010, signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell in 2013 and has been building a devoted following ever since. The singer-songwriter has toured with artists including Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, Jake Owen, Cole Swindell, Hank Williams Jr., Eli Young Band, Old Dominion, Randy Rogers Band and more. Brandon wrapped up his summer touring with Kenny Chesney in support of his Trip Around The Sun stadium tour. He is currently writing and recording for his debut album.

“Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers” is part of a two-pack release that also includes “Let It,” co-written by Brandon, Paul DiGiovanni and Brad Tursi. A second two-pack features two additional songs, “Wilder Horses” and “Break Down On Me.”
