WHEEL OF FORTUNE KICKS OFF HISTORIC SEASON 41

Pat Sajak Celebrates Farewell Season While Vanna White Extends Contract for Additional Two Years

Social Correspondent Maggie Sajak Headlines “Fan Fridays”

Alex Van Wagner Takes Over as Director

Culver City, CA (September 19, 2022) – As previously announced, Wheel of Fortune’s Season 41, which kicked off this past week, will be the last for host Pat Sajak. The show will celebrate the 41-derful seasons with him at the helm. Co-host Vanna White has extended her contract for an additional two years, keeping her revealing letters at the iconic puzzleboard through the 2025-2026 season.

Entering her third year as the show’s ambassador to the fans, Social Media Correspondent, Maggie Sajak is championing more ways for our viewers to win cash, vacations, merchandise, or more through a new weekly sweepstakes called “Fan Fridays.” To introduce the new viewer appreciation initiative, she hit the road with longtime Wheel of Fortune collaborator, worldwide guided tour company Collette to give fans a glimpse of what their tours offer. She will highlight stops in Newport, RI, Portland, ME, New York City, stops throughout Europe, and others along the way. On “Fan Fridays,” Maggie will showcase that week’s FAN-tastic prize while revealing a “Word of the Day” that Wheel Watchers Club members can enter at www.wheeloffortune.com to be eligible to win.

While still giving viewers more chances to win, Wheel of Fortune is modernizing their approach to revealing SPIN ID numbers by not referencing them during the show. Wheel Watchers Club members will now have to log on to www.wheeloffortune.com to check to see if they are a winner.

Fans can also look forward to returning integrations including Secret Santa, HSN, and Collette, as well as theme weeks celebrating Halloween, veterans, teachers, and so much more to come.

Alex Van Wagner joins Wheel of Fortune as Director after the retirement of his predecessor Robert Ennis over hiatus. Van Wagner has honed his craft within multiple genres having experience directing competition shows, scripted comedy, documentaries, and sports across networks, syndication, and cable. His diverse credit list spans network programming, syndication and streaming to include Shark Tank, The Voice, Holey Moley, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Is It Cake?, and Game of Games.
