Award-winning actor, producer and director Justin Hartley is starring in and executive producing CBS’ drama series TRACKER. Based on the bestselling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver, TRACKER follows lone-wolf survivalist Colter Shaw. The project hails from Hartley’s production company, ChangeUp Productions, which inked an overall pod deal with 20th Television in 2019.

 

Hartley starred in the critically acclaimed “This Is Us” opposite Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown and Chrissy Metz. Hartley’s performance as Kevin Pearson earned multiple Critics Choice Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (2019, 2020, 2021) and a 2022 award for Best Supporting Actor in a Broadcast Network or Cable Series, Drama. Hartley and his cast members won back-to-back SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2018 and 2019. Hartley’s other television credits include “Passions,” “Smallville,” “Chuck,” “Castle,” “Hart of Dixie,” “Emily Owens, M.D.,” “Revenge,” “Mistresses” and taking over the role of Adam Newman in THE YOUNG AND RESTLESS, on the Network. Hartley earned a 2016 Daytime Emmy Award for Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his work on the show.

 

In film, Hartley executive produced and starred in “The Noel Diary.” Other film credits include “Senior Year,” “A Lot of Nothing,” “The Hunt,” “Little,” “A Bad Moms Christmas,” “Another Time,” which he also executive produced, and “Spring Breakdown.”

 

While working on screen keeps Hartley busy, he also lends his voice to high-profile projects. He can be heard in the podcast “Harley Quinn & The Joker: Sound Mind” starring as Batman opposite Christina Ricci and Billy Magnussen. As a producer, Hartley and his company, ChangeUp Productions, recently sold a script commitment for a drama series entitled “No Good Deed,” featuring writer Jeannine Renshaw and director Nzingha Stewart. Renshaw, Stewart and Hartley will all executive produce the series.

 

Born in Knoxville, Ill., and raised in Orland Park, Ill., Hartley loved bringing characters to life at an early age. He attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale and the University of Illinois at Chicago, majored in history and theater, and upon graduation, moved to Los Angeles.
