October 2023

Tuuli Narkle is a proud Yued and Wiilman Noongar woman, born and raised in rural Western Australia, and is also of Finnish descent.

Her first major acting role came as Ruby in the play “Stolen” by Jane Harrison, directed and produced by Leah Purcell. This experience was the driving force that pushed Narkle to audition for The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2018.

After graduating, she was cast in “Winyanboga Yurringa” at Belvoir St Theatre, then joined the cast for “Black Is the New White” at the Sydney Theatre Company. In 2021, Narkle took on the role of Evonne Goolagong in Performing Lines’ production of “Sunshine Supergirl” for the Festival of Sydney, receiving generous critical acclaim. In 2022, Narkle returned to the Sydney Theatre Company in their production of “The Tenant of Wildfell Hall” and made her Melbourne Theatre Company debut playing the role of Roxanne in a modern adaptation of “Cyrano.”

Narkle starred in the comedy series “All My Friends Are Racist” for ABC iView and in the Corrie Chen directed drama series “Bad Behaviour” for Matchbox Pictures. She joined a stellar cast for season three of ABC TV’s “Mystery Road” airing on the ABC and received an AACTA Award for Best Lead Actress in Drama. Narkle also received a CGA Rising Star Award in 2022.
