Latika Dar in “The Winchesters”

In The CW’s new supernatural thriller “The Winchesters,” Nida Khurshid stars as the fiercely intelligent and braver than she believes, Latika Dar, a young hunter-in-training whose research and problem-solving skills help her face her fears when she’s forced to battle terrifying monsters.

Khurshid was born in Lahore, Pakistan, and is of Pakistani, Indian, and Irish descent.
She immigrated to America with her mother when she was 3 years old and grew up in a rural town in Texas. Her mother enrolled her in ballet classes at 5 years old and she continued dancing for 13 years.

At the age of 18, Khurshid was signed to her first modeling agency and started booking fashion ads, magazine spreads and runway shows in Houston, Dallas, and Austin. Shortly thereafter she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her childhood dream of acting.  Her first role came when Oscar winner John Ridley cast her in his ABC pilot “Presence.” Khurshid went on to book roles on tv shows such as “Pitch,” “Game Shakers,” “For The People” and “Station 19.”

Before landing her role in “The Winchesters,” Khurshid continued to book roles in television and film, including a superhero in Nickelodeon’s “Danger Force” and her grittiest role to date, playing the lead in the short film “Ikarus,” written and directed by Shaun Escayg, who wrote and directed the Marvel’s Avengers video game. In June 2021, Khurshid was one of ten actors in Los Angeles chosen for the Disney Television Discovers Talent Showcase.

Khurshid currently divides her time between Los Angeles and New Orleans.
