Camila Mendes stars as Veronica Lodge in The CW’s drama “Riverdale.”

A dynamic and versatile performer, Mendes is quickly emerging as one of the entertainment industry’s brightest young talents.

Mendes is set to star opposite Pete Davidson and O’Shea Jackson Jr. in STX’s upcoming drama “American Sole.” The film will be written and directed by Ian Edelman and produced by Kevin Hart and NBA pro Chris Paul. She was last seen in Hulu’s indie film “Palm Springs,” opposite Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti, which had a record acquisition deal at Sundance and streamed this past summer.

Mendes starred opposite Jesse T. Usher in Netflix’s thriller “Dangerous Lies,” which earned her a nomination for Female Movie Star at the 2020 People’s Choice Awards. The Chicago Sun Times lauded her leading performance as “empathetic and layered.”

Mendes also starred in “The New Romantic,” alongside Jessica Barden, which premiered at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival and released for The Orchard. Additional credits include “The Perfect Date,” opposite Noah Centineo and the Sara Seligman-directed film, “Coyote Lake.”

A native of Miami, Mendes booked her role on “Riverdale” while still a student at New York University’s Tisch School of Arts. She graduated in May of 2016.
