Dennis Soong in “Kung Fu”

Tony Chung stars as Dennis Soong, the beloved son of the wealthy Soong family and husband to Althea (Shannon Dang), on The CW’s series “Kung Fu.”

Chung is an Asian American actor born in Lewisville, Texas. He spent much of his childhood living in Austin, Texas and San Jose, California.  After high school, Chung studied Electrical Engineering on a full scholarship, followed by two years working at Cisco Systems before leaving to pursue a career as a touring musician in Asia. There, the singer/songwriter released two albums, one solo and another with a band. After being scouted for modeling in 2011, his first shoot was with Vogue Italia in a feature shot by the critically acclaimed Steven Meisel. Chung has appeared in multiple campaigns for major brands and was recently used as the model for Sub-Zero’s character in Netherrealm’s Mortal Kombat 11 video game.
