Joseph Anders in “Dynasty”

In The CW’s drama “Dynasty,” Alan Dale plays Joseph Anders, the Carrington family estate manager and a father-figure to Blake Carrington (Grant Show). Anders always has a trick up his sleeve and will do anything necessary to ensure that the family is kept safe, and the tea (or bourbon) is served on time.

Born in New Zealand, Dale is one of the most versatile actors in entertainment today, with over 40 professional years as an actor.  Early in his career, Dale starred as a series regular on the long running Australian television show “Neighbours.”

Dale has had series regular roles on television shows such as “Dominion,” “The Killing,” “Californication,” “Ugly Betty,” “24,” “Lost,” “Entourage,” “House of Lies,” “Person of Interest,” and “The O.C.” and recurring roles on shows including “NCIS,” “Hot in Cleveland,” “The X-Files,” “ER,” “West Wing” and “Once Upon a Time.”  

On the big screen, Dale was reprised his role from the “Entourage” television series and also appeared in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” He’s also been seen in such films as “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,” “Priest,” “Your Highness,” “A Little Bit of Heaven” and “Star Trek Nemesis,” among others.

Dale has played many roles on the stage, but his most recent is a starring role in “Spamalot” on the West End in 2009.  He has hosted his own radio shows and also has a successful voice over career.

Dale currently resides in Los Angeles.
