Jakeem Thunder on “DC’s Stargirl”

            Alkoya Brunson stars as Jakeem Thunder on The CW’s drama “DC’s Stargirl.”

            Brunson is a star on the rise already amassing several roles with no signs of stopping. He has recurred on the New Orleans version of the long-running “NCIS” as “CJ Malloy.” His other television credits include a guest starring turn in the critically acclaimed “Atlanta,” and as a series regular on “Malibu Rescue.” In addition to the two film versions of “Malibu Rescue,” and its sequel “Malibu Rescue: The Next Wave,” Brunson has also lit up the big screen in the features “Hidden Figures” with Octavia Spencer,” “Almost Christmas” and “Tijuana Jackson: Purpose Over Prison.”

            Brunson is also a musician and is currently working on original material. In his off time, the Florida native enjoys gaming and spending time with his family.
