Dr. Gwyn Davies in “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”

Matt Ryan stars in The CW’s hit series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” as Dr. Gwyn Davies, a Welsh inventor and World War I veteran who history cites as laying the foundations of time travel. Gwyn travelled to New York City to work with history’s greatest scientists and perfect his time machine. It’s 1925 and Gwyn is nearly ready to make history with his first-time jump, with or without the Legends in tow. His reasons for doing so are deeply personal and speak to a carefully guarded secret with which he has not yet come to terms.

A Welsh born actor, Ryan began his career at the Royal Shakespeare Company after graduating from the Bristol Old Vic. His passion for performing arts started at a young age when he starred as Gavroche in the West End Production of “Les Misérables.”

Ryan previously starred as the lead in the drama series “Constantine.” He also voiced the role of “Constantine” on CW Seed. He also starred in ITV’s “The Halycon,” and recurred on “Criminal Minds.”
