Officer Owen Beckbie in “Burden of Truth”

Meegwun Fairbrother stars as Owen Beckbie, the Chief of Police of Millwood in The CW drama “Burden of Truth.”

Fairbrother spent five seasons as Butterhead on “Mohawk Girls” for the APT Network.  He has also appeared in “Hemlock Grove,” “The Beaverton,” “Murdock Mysteries” “Haven,” and played twins in the series “Helix.”  His work in features includes “BeeBe Boys” and “Breakout.”  

Fairbrother is of Ojibway and Scottish origin, from Grassy Narrows First Nation. He is a graduate of York University Acting Conservatory and is a traditional singer and a Northern traditional dancer.

He makes his home in Toronto.
