CBS CONSUMER PRODUCTS OFFERS MULTITUDE OF <br /> INITIATIVES IN CONJUNCTION WITH 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF <br /> STAR TREK<br />
As STAR TREK nears its 40th Anniversary in September 2006, the licensing partners for CBS Consumer Products have developed special products in numerous categories to commemorate this impressive milestone. For the first time, fans will be able to purchase everything from action figures and phasers to DVD’s via a new e-commerce store at www.StarTrek.com.
Over the past 40 years, the Star Trek brand has generated over $4 billion dollars from merchandise. The strength of the franchise and support of its devoted fan base have enabled it to grow and thrive throughout the years. And after 40 years, the success continues.
Most series in the “Star Trek” franchise are still currently running in syndication. “Star Trek: Enterprise” airs on weekends in broadcast syndication. The original “Star Trek” series runs with interactive features on G4 cable network; “Star Trek: The Next Generation” can be seen on Spike TV and G4; and “Star Trek: Deep Space 9” runs on Spike TV. Starting in December 2006, “Star Trek: Voyager” will also run on Spike TV.

Creation Entertainment
∑ The World's Largest Gathering of Star Trek Fans presented by Creation Entertainment 40th Anniversary Conventions to include special talent appearances, seminars, events and exclusive merchandise. The Las Vegas convention will feature Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner, as well as remaining original series cast members, Walter Koenig, George Takei and Nichelle Nichols. Additional stars from the other four Star Trek TV series, including Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Jonathan Frakes and Brent Spiner will appear as well.

∑ Star Trek Communicator cell phone: worldwide launch of a functioning replica of the phone that inspired modern cell phones. Complete with GSM, Bluetooth, MP3 player, WAP, SMS, MMS, speaker phone and more…Now fans can use the device used by Starfleet crews since the 2240s. Will launch in Sept 2006 in the UK and then roll out in the US in 2007.

∑ WMS Gaming will debut an out-of-this-world Star Trek themed slot machine at G2 Nov 14 -16. Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner provided audio for the game and will be on hand to promote the game at the unveiling.
