WRITER AND PRODUCER RAFE JUDKINS SIGNS EXCLUSIVE OVERALL DEAL WITH PARAMOUNT TELEVISION STUDIOS

• Paramount Television Studios has entered into an exclusive overall deal with writer and producer Rafe Judkins (The Wheel of Time) to create, develop, and produce original scripted series for the studio.
• “I have long been a fan of Rafe’s extraordinary writing and producing and am grateful he chose Paramount as his new creative home,” said Matt Thunell, President of Paramount Television Studios. “We are amazed by his ability to build immersive worlds, craft action-packed stories, and realize vibrant characters. We cannot wait to build with him.”

• Rafe Judkins created and served as the showrunner on The Wheel of Time for three seasons for Amazon/Sony TV.  Judkins began his career as a writer on the NBC drama series My Own Worst Enemy, starring Christian Slater. He then served as a writer and producer for three seasons of NBC’s action-comedy series Chuck and two seasons of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He also wrote Uncharted, the top-grossing non-sequel film of 2022, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, and more recently, Foreign Relations, starring Glen Powell.  He recently created and is serving as showrunner on The Red Tent for Netflix, based on Anita Diamant’s best-selling novel, and 140, based on the DC Comics series Unfollow, for Paramount+. He is repped by CAA, Kaplan Perrone, and Hansen Jacobsen Teller.
• In addition to Judkins, Paramount Television Studios has recently announced creative partnerships with Yellowjackets creators Ashley Lyle & Bart Nickerson, Iron Ocean led by Jessica Biel & Michelle Purple, and a joint deal with Liz Tigelaar and CBS Studios. Additionally, Issa Rae and Jon M. Chu have joint deals across television and feature films at Paramount along with The Duffer Brothers whose deal spans features, television and direct-to-consumer at Paramount.
