"ACES: THE ATP NO. 1 CLUB is a rare piece of premium sports storytelling, built on extraordinary access and the most iconic names the game has ever produced. Tennis is one of the truly global sports, crowning champions from around the world and drawing fans on every continent. That universal appeal is exactly why we are seeing such strong demand from broadcasters and streamers to bring the series to audiences everywhere," said Don McGregor, President, Global Content Licensing, Paramount.
Andrea Gaudenzi, ATP Chairman, said: “Reaching World No. 1 is the ultimate achievement in our sport, and having experienced life on Tour I understand how much that journey demands. Only a small group of players have lived it. By bringing these stories to a global audience, this series gives fans a deeper understanding of what it takes to reach the top. It also helps us showcase the sport at its best, celebrate its greatest champions and connect new fans with the players and moments that have defined the game.”
"Only 29 men have ever reached World No. 1, which is remarkable in itself. Spending time with these champions was a reminder that greatness is never as simple as it looks from the outside,” said Dan DiStefano, Chief Content Officer, Front Office Sports Studios. “While their accomplishments are extraordinary, the lessons are universal. We're proud to tell the story of what it takes to become and remain the best in the world. I'm also incredibly grateful to the players who shared their stories and the talented team who helped bring them to life."
From icons like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Sampras, Agassi, Borg, McEnroe, and Connors, to today’s rising stars Alcaraz and Sinner, the series offers a unique perspective on what it takes to join one of the most exclusive clubs in sport. Across four episodes, the series combines archive footage with present day, behind the scenes access, revealing the realities of striving to reach World No. 1 and the challenge of staying there.
A production of BrightNorth USA in association with Front Office Sports Studios, ACES: THE ATP NO. 1 CLUB is executive produced by Morgan Hertzan, Azadeh de Leon, Dan DiStefano, Pat Dimon, David Check and Larry Scott and directed by Dimon.
