Sharapova Win Over Henin-Hardenne Highest Ratings Since 2002 CBS Sports’ coverage of the women’s final of the 2006 U.S. OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS on Saturday, Sept. 9 (8:00-10:15 PM, ET), which saw Maria Sharapova defeat Justine Henin-Hardenne, earned an average overnight household rating/share of 3.2/6, up +3% from last year’s 3.1/6 (Clijsters-Pierce). The match peaked with rating/share of 3.8/7 from 9:30-10:00 and 10:00-10:15 PM, ET. The 3.2/6 is the highest rated women’s final in the metered markets since a 7.2/13 in 2002 when Serena Williams defeated her sister Venus Williams.
