CBS Sports broadcasts the Season One finale of its new franchise, Beyond Limits, on the CBS Television Network, and streaming live on Paramount+, on Saturday, Oct. 30 (2:00 PM, ET).

The series highlights trailblazing, diverse athletes in sports where they are under-represented. The third and final episode of Season One will feature the trio of Daniel Walcott, Gemel Smith and Mathieu Joseph from the Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit’s Cass Technical High School’s Girls Lacrosse Team, World and Olympic Champion Wrestler Jordan Burroughs, and Women’s College World Series Star Odicci Alexander.

• Episode 3 – Saturday, October 30 - CBS Television Network and Paramount+ (2:00 PM, ET)
  • Tampa Bay Lightning – Hockey
    On May 10, 2021, Daniel Walcott, Gemel Smith and Mathieu Joseph combined to form the Lightning’s fourth line against the Florida Panthers, becoming the first all-Black forward line to start an NHL game. Ross talks with the trio surrounding the significance of this moment, the impact of diverse representation in the sport of hockey, and how the group celebrated back-to-back Stanley Cup wins 

• • Cass Technical High School – Lacrosse
    Cass Technical High School, located in Detroit, is a majority Black high school with the only girls’ lacrosse team in the city. In 2019, after the high school launched its boys’ program, the girls of the school met with administrators to advocate for a team as well. The players and coaches discuss with McNutt the critical role the team has played for them, especially during the challenges they faced in 2020.

• • Jordan Burroughs – Wrestling
    The Philadelphian and 2012 Olympic Gold medalist Jordan Burroughs discusses his journey through wrestling and the importance of his role models – Kenny Monday and Kevin Jackson, the first two Black men to win Olympic gold in wrestling. One of the most successful wrestlers in U.S. history, Burroughs reflects on winning his fifth world title and shares his message of accessibility for the next generation of wrestlers.
  • Odicci Alexander – Softball
    Odicci Alexander burst onto the national scene as one of the best pitchers in softball during the 2021 Women’s College World Series. A three-sport athlete in basketball, volleyball, and softball out of small Boydton, North Carolina, Alexander learned to pitch by throwing against a well in her grandparents’ backyard. After earning a scholarship to play at James Madison University, she led the Dukes to the semifinals of the WCWS, the first unseeded team to ever advance that far. Alexander shares her journey – from the beginning in North Carolina to her heroics this spring – with McNutt.
