CBS SPORTS UNVEILS 2026 NATIONAL WOMEN’S SOCCER LEAGUE SCHEDULE AS CHAMPIONSHIP RETURNS TO PRIMETIME ON CBS FOR FIFTH YEAR
CBS Sports has announced its 2026 National Women’s Soccer League schedule, highlighted by the NWSL Championship airing on CBS and Paramount+ in primetime for the fifth straight year, and marquee matchups across platforms throughout the season.
The announcement follows a record-breaking 2025 season highlighted by the Network’s presentation of the 2025 championship match, which was the most-watched NWSL match in history, surpassing one million viewers for the first time.
The 2026 NWSL Championship will once again air on CBS and stream live on Paramount+ at 8 PM, ET on Saturday, Nov. 21.
CBS Sports kicks off its multiplatform coverage of the 2026 season on Wednesday, March 25 when the Portland Thorns FC visit the San Diego Wave FC on CBS Sports Network. Broadcast coverage begins with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 28 at 2:00 PM, ET as the 2025 runner-up Washington Spirit visits Denver Summit FC in their inaugural home opener, before Portland takes on Kansas City Current on CBS and Paramount+.
Additional highlights include 2025 NWSL Champion Gotham FC -- their first of seven appearances on CBS Sports platforms -- visiting Kansas City on Saturday, April 4, on CBS and Paramount+; Boston Legacy FC making their CBS Sports debut as they host the Denver Summit FC, Sunday, May 3 on CBS Sports Network; and a championship rematch on Saturday, Oct. 17 as the Washington Spirit take on Gotham FC, on CBS and Paramount+.
In total, 14 matches will air on CBS, including multiple postseason matches, highlighted by the Championship match. CBS will broadcast a quarterfinal match on Saturday, Nov. 7 and a semifinal match on Saturday, Nov. 14. All matches airing on CBS will also stream live on Paramount+. CBS Sports Network will televise an additional 25 matches this season, featuring all 16 teams, for a total of 39 matches across platforms.
In addition to match coverage, CBS Sports will deliver comprehensive coverage of the 2026 NWSL season. Coverage will appear across CBS Sports’ digital platforms – CBS Sports Golazo Network, CBS Sports HQ, CBSSports.com, the Golazo Starting XI newsletter – and social channels – @WGolazo and @WeNeedToTalk.
