CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROGRAM IN VIEWERS ON JUNE 26

FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show on Sunday, June 26, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 2.6 million viewers with 420,000 in adults 25-54 for the week. FACE THE NATION has ranked #1 in 38 of 39 weeks it aired, including the last 17 consecutive weeks.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers for the second consecutive year (leading NBC by +372,000 viewers) and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in the women 25-54 demographic.

Sunday’s broadcast featured moderator Margaret Brennan’s interviews with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI); Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD); member of the House committee investigating Jan. 6 Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA); chief of staff to former Vice President Mike Pence, Marc Short; and David Malpass, president of the World Bank Group.

Also in Sunday’s broadcast: CBS News chief legal correspondent Jan Crawford joined Brennan to explain what abortion rights Americans will have after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and senior national correspondent Mark Strassmann’s reporting as protests were held nationwide this weekend in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.
