CBS NEWS HOSTS TRAVEL TOWN HALL EXPLORING THE FUTURE OF TRAVEL WITH TOP LEADERS FROM AVIATION ON SEPT. 13 IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

CBS News will host “The Current State of Air Travel,” an in-person travel town hall featuring interviews with top aviation leaders exploring the state of airlines, airports, safety and global air travel, on Tuesday, September 13, starting at 8:30 AM, ET at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C. CBS News chief Washington correspondent and veteran political journalist Major Garrett, and CBS News travel editor Peter Greenberg, one of the most experienced journalists covering the travel industry, will moderate the event.

The CBS News travel summit will feature a series of panel interviews with the head of the largest flight attendant union, and business, government and aviation professionals, about present day challenges and opportunities shaping the air travel industry and the impact on consumers across the globe. The day’s conversations will be featured on the Saturday, September 17 broadcast of CBS News’ EYE ON TRAVEL, a three-hour weekend radio program hosted by Greenberg, heard on radio stations nationwide. CBS News’ EYE ON TRAVEL broadcasts from a different place each week, ranging from major cities to remote locations around the world. The program, now in its 20th season, is distributed by CBS Radio, and features local guests speaking about the destination, call-in listeners and global newsmakers.
