“CBS EVENING NEWS WITH TONY DOKOUPIL” CONTINUES TO DRIVE RATINGS MOMENTUM AS JULY MARKS THIRD STRAIGHT MONTH OF YEAR-OVER-YEAR GROWTH IN THE KEY DEMO

July marked the third consecutive month of year-over-year demo ratings growth for the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH TONY DOKOUPIL. The broadcast closed out the month up +2% in viewers and +1% in the coveted A25-54 demo compared to last year and was the only evening newscast to finish the month stronger than it started with week to week gains (+5% in viewers and +9% in the demo), according to Nielsen data for the week of July 20.

• Over the summer, CBS EVENING NEWS has grown the demo year-over-year for three straight months

• In viewers, CBS EVENING NEWS WITH TONY DOKOUPIL continues to maintain momentum and drive up ratings, up +2% in viewers year-over-year

• The CBS EVENING NEWS delivered. 3.9 million viewers and 499k in the demo for July 2026
