“Live From America” Edition Airs Tonight at 6:30 PM, ET and PT on CBS and Paramount+

Tonight, CBS News’ Tony Dokoupil will anchor a “Live from America” edition of the CBS EVENING NEWS from Seattle, Wash., outside the stadium where the U.S. men’s national soccer team will face Belgium in the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup.

As part of the broadcast, Dokoupil will interview U.S. men’s team defender Chris Richards, who was named 2025 U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year, about the importance of tonight’s match, what it means to represent his country, how the team found out about and reacted to Folarin Balogun’s red card ban being overturned and his theory on why FIFA reversed that decision. Dokoupil will also speak with USA soccer fans who have traveled to Seattle from across the country.
