Diana Duve was 26 when she vanished one night in 2014 in Vero Beach, Fla. She was last seen alive leaving a bar with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Michael Jones. To witnesses, the couple seemed to be having a good time, though they told police that at one point it looked like Duve was upset. She never returned home. Her mother knew something was wrong when her daughter didn’t call her, something she did every day. Contributor Michelle Miller and 48 HOURS report on what happened that night in “Where Is Diana Duve?” to be broadcast Saturday, May 6 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+.

As investigators looked into Jones, they learned that he was well educated, had gone to law school and thrived at his job as a wealth manager at PNC bank, where he was entrusted with handling millions of dollars. But investigators learned that Jones also told outlandish lies, including claiming he was adopted by Ronald Reagan’s son.

Duve’s body was later found in the trunk of her car parked in a shopping center parking lot in Melbourne, Fla. Jones was charged and tried for Duve’s murder.
