Sebastian Maniscalco Tells Drew He Wants to Host “Saturday Night Live” and Reacts to Recent Impression of Him on the Show

Drew: I'm watching ‘Saturday Night Live,’ which is, I think, the most beloved institution, and I got to host for the first time in 1982 when I was seven, and I've been doing it many times since, and I just hold it so sacrosanct and by the way, that is something no generation argues. Every generation loves ‘Saturday Night Live’ and the kids and the adults are both really in the zone and I think they're even attracting like their youngest audience ever. What did you think of Marcello Hernandez's impression of you?

Sebastian: So pretty good. I didn't know I was that gray, but, anyway.

Drew: It's true. It is a little too white.

Sebastian: Yeah, it's OK. He did a great job. I was very flattered that they did that. He actually called me on Thursday before the show, said, ‘Do you wanna come in and do a cameo at the end of it?’ I couldn't do it because I was performing in Palm Springs, but I thought this kid did a fantastic job, and, yeah.

Drew: I mean, when ou get parodied on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and it's the good kind. Like when they're communicating with you, when there is not a, just an ounce or an atom of meanness, it's like cute, honoring, loving. I think it is like one of the world's great compliments. Did you take it that way because there was so much love in that?

Sebastian: No, no, I, yeah, this is absolutely all, all in love, and I have never hosted the show, which I'm here today to kinda to and maybe you could help me out. Apparently you've done it.

Drew: I have 6 times.

Sebastian: 6 times. You're taking all the spots.

Drew: I mean, I will back out at the no, and by the way, you would be so amazing with that show.
