Amodio Starts New Season With $574,801 in Total Winnings

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (September 10, 2021) – Long-running JEOPARDY! champion Matt Amodio returns to the stage on Monday, September 13, when America’s Favorite Quiz Show® begins its 38^th season in syndication. Amodio, a Ph.D. student from New Haven, Conn., has so far won $574,801 in 18 games which aired earlier this summer. Amodio will next face off against Amdé Mengistu, a legal recruiter from Brooklyn, N.Y., and Gabbie Kim, a mother of two and birth doula from Pittsburgh, Pa., as he attempts to secure his 19^th straight victory.

Amodio starts the new season in third place on the JEOPARDY! all-time highest winnings list (regular games), behind only two players in the show’s history: James Holzhauer ($2,462,216) and Ken Jennings ($2,520,700).
