September 8, 2025 – In an exclusive interview airing tonight, INSIDE EDITION speaks with University of Nebraska freshman punter, Archie Wilson, who went viral this summer after breaking down in tears at a press conference when asked about being far from his family. INSIDE EDITION captures the emotional moment as Wilson’s family travels 9,198 miles from Australia to Lincoln, Nebraska to watch him play his first home game.

“Just seeing them at the games and knowing that they're able to enjoy the games at the same time I am is probably the cool one for me,” Wilson told INSIDE EDITION.

His mom added, “This whole community and the world has embraced him.”
