INSIDE EDITION EXCLUSIVE: DENISE RICHARDS’ EX-HUSBAND REVEALS SHOCKING CONDITIONS AT CALABASAS HOME

September 11, 2025 – In an exclusive interview airing tonight, INSIDE EDITION speaks with Aaron Phypers, Denise Richards’ estranged husband. Phypers denies Richards’ allegations of physical abuse and property damage which she made in court papers, and says he is living in their rented Calabasas home with his family caring for the 15 dogs she allegedly left behind. Phypers gives INSIDE EDITION exclusive access to the shocking conditions of their $3.5 million rented house, claiming he is not at liberty handle the hoarder-like mess which he says is Richards’. He also adds that he and his family now face eviction.

“There are hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of vintage clothing in here. It's riddled with moths,” he tells INSIDE EDITIONS’s Jim Moret. “She [Richards] buys makeup and keeps buying makeup and gets more makeup.”

Phypers claims at one time, his ex-wife had 36 dogs living in their home, stating, “She has a thing with dogs…I don’t know if it’s hoarding. It’s something.”

Richards has said she hasn’t lived in the home for two years and a judge recently said that she could return to the home to get her personal belongings and the remaining dogs.
