Alison: In her latest role, Olivia plays Jon Hamm's love interest on the Apple TV Plus show ‘Your Friends and Neighbors.’ It was her first time doing sex scenes since her mastectomy. What was it like doing sex scenes, taking sexy selfies to send to Jon Hamm's character?
Olivia: It was tough. But I really wanted to do it for the character and for the show.
Alison: I was cheering at my screen, like, ‘Go, Olivia, you look beautiful.’ Were you proud of yourself?
Olivia: Yeah, yeah, it was a big hurdle for me.
Alison: I really think that so many women who have gone through what we've gone through are going to look at that and feel a lot better about themselves.
Inside Edition Correspondent Alison Hall Meets Olivia Munn For the First Time
Alison: My heart is racing. Hi.
Olivia: I’m so happy to see you. This is so nice.
Alison: Feels so good to hug you after all this time.
Olivia: You know just the whole process. The fact that it was just you going out on assignment and that you’re so young to be getting breast cancer and also the fact that you were able to catch it such an early age. All those things together it’s emotional for me because this has been my mission and meeting you just means a lot to me.
Alison: Olivia, I spoke with a few women around the world who wanted to share their thanks with you. So I have a few words with them here for you. I have one for you too. I think I will read it to you but I’m not sure I will be able to. Dear Olivia, my life had two paths. One where I lived in the dark wondering whether I would ever develop breast cancer like my mom did. I was told to start getting mammograms at 40. All the while I had small cancer growing. I would’ve been blissfully unaware for eight whole years as it grew. But then you told your story and because of you I took the breast cancer risk assessment test. And in my very first MRI they spotted a small lump of cancer and my path changed. You gave me the gift of early detection. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if you hadn’t shared your story. You saved my life.
