Broadcast Excerpt Usage Restrictions

The following guidelines apply to Domestic, International Broadcasts, Online News and Social Media Sites:

All footage, clips, or excerpts from the Program (“Clips”) may be used on a nonexclusive basis, subject to the restrictions set forth below, and may only be used in the segment of your media coverage related to the Program and for no other purpose whatsoever, without the prior written consent of NATAS.

1. You may excerpt up to two minutes of material for your news broadcasts; however, no Clip should run longer than :30. The Clips are available for use from the conclusion of the initial network broadcast for seven (7) days, including, if later, the week-end following such period for weekend-type news programs.

2. For local stations, Clips are embargoed from being aired until the Program has aired in your market.

3. In the case of national, international and Internet broadcasters, you may NOT air ANY Clips until the broadcast is over in the Pacific Time Zone.

4. You will obtain all required authorization, clearances, consents and releases necessary for your use of the Clips from all performers and persons who are featured or otherwise rendered services in connection with the Clips, from all persons who appear recognizably in the Clips, as well as consents from all unions and guilds to the extent any of their respective members performed in or in connection with the Clips, including, without limitation, A. F. of M., AFTRA, SAG, DGA and WGA. If music is in the Clips, or ambient music is heard in the Clips, you will also obtain music synchronization licenses from the owners of the music, if required.

5. You may not assign or transfer the Clip usage rights hereunder to any other party.

6. The CBS EYE logo may not be obscured.

The full Program will be available on demand for 90 days post-broadcast on CBS.com, Paramount+ and on the CBS app for mobile and tablet viewing.
