Elizabeth Rodriguez is an award-winning actress who crosses seamlessly from studio films to independent, and from the stage to television. She played the emotionally complex Aleida Diaz in the groundbreaking series “Orange Is the New Black,” for which she received three consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards. Also, she was a series regular in the role of Liza Ortiz on “Fear the Walking Dead,” and played pivotal roles on “Power,” “Shameless,” “Devious Maids,” “Prime Suspect,” “Blanco,” “Grimm,” “The Shield,” “ER” and “Six Feet Under.”

 

Rodriguez’s film credits include co-starring in the blockbuster “Logan,” opposite Hugh Jackman,” Michael Mann’s “Miami Vice,” “The Drop” and “Tio Papi,” for which she garnered an Imagen Award nomination. Most recently, she starred in the independent feature “Allswell,” which she also co-wrote and co-produced. The film made its world premiere at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival.

 

Rodriguez received a Tony Award nomination and won an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Theatre World Award for her performance as Veronica in the Broadway production of “The Motherfu**er with the Hat.” In addition, she received an Obie Award, as well as a Drama Desk Award nomination, for her performance in “Halfway Bitches Go Straight to Heaven” at the Atlantic Theater. Additional theater credits include “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot,” directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, at New York’s acclaimed Public Theater; “Unconditional;” “A View from 151st Street;” “Beauty of the Father” and “The Power of Duff.”
