Amanda Warren

 

Amanda Warren was born and raised in New York and received her BFA from New York University and her MFA from Yale School of Drama. She began her professional career on stage, receiving rave reviews for her work in “Three Sisters” at The Classical Theatre of Harlem, “Golden Age” at the Kennedy Center and “When I Come to Die” at Lincoln Center Theater.

 

Warren is well known for playing Mayor Lucy Warburton on the Peabody Award-winning series “The Leftovers.” Her additional TV credits include a recurring role on the final season of “Madam Secretary” on the Network, “Genius: Aretha,” “Dickinson,” “The Purge,” “This Is Us,” “Black Mirror” and “House of Cards.” Warren also appeared on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, FBI and THE GOOD WIFE, all on the Network.

 

In 2020, Warren had a large supporting role in the film “Safety.” Other feature highlights include the Oscar-winning “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” “Roman J. Israel, Esq.,” starring Denzel Washington; “Seven Psychopaths,” directed by Martin McDonagh; and “The Wizard of Lies,” directed by Barry Levinson. Next, she’ll appear alongside Jaime Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones in the upcoming film “The Burial.”
