Paul Attanasio is a writer and producer whose work has been nominated or won every major award in film and television.

On television, Attanasio created the Peabody Award-winning police drama “Homicide: Life on the Street,” for which he was nominated for a Writers’ Guild of America “Award for Television: Episodic Drama” in 1993.

His additional television credits include executive producing the medical drama “House,” which was nominated for four primetime Emmys and won the 2005 Peabody Award during its eight-season run.

         Formerly the chief film critic of the Washington Post, Attanasio has enjoyed a prolific career writing for film, including the screenplay for “Quiz Show,” based on the novel by Richard N. Goodwin. In 1995, the film earned Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations, the BAFTA Award for “Best Adapted Screenplay” and the ShoWest Award for “Best Screenwriter of the Year.”

         Attanasio’s additional feature film writing credits include “Disclosure,” “Donnie Brasco,” which earned him his second Academy Award nomination; “Sphere,” “The Sum of All Fears” and “The Good German.”

        Attanasio is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He was born in the Bronx, New York and raised in Tenafly, New Jersey. Currently, he resides in Los Angeles.
