“Big Brother: Unlocked” Premiere Posts Most-Watched Episode Ever, Up +46% from Last Season

In its first week (episodes airing July 9, 12 and 15), BIG BROTHER live plus 3-day total multiplatform viewership averaged 4.96 million viewers, up +14% from last year (4.34m).

The premiere of BIG BROTHER: UNLOCKED (July 10), the ultimate fan show with Jerry O’Connell, Taylor Hale and Derrick Lavaseur, posted its most-watched episode ever, averaging 3.44 million viewers, up +46% from its year ago debut (2.36m) in live plus 3-days of multiplatform viewing.

BIG BROTHER First Week (Episodes Airing July 9, 12 and 15) Live Plus 3-Day Multiplatform Ratings Highlights:

• Year over year, the show grew+18% among A25-54 and +13% among A18-49.

• BIG BROTHER premiere week averaged 4.96 million viewers per episode, outperforming “Love Island” (Peacock) premiere week by +58% (vs. 3.15m per episode). 

Night-by-Night Live Plus 3-Day Multiplatform Viewership:

• Thursday, July 9 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) premiere – posted 5.48 million viewers, up +18% from last year (4.64m) with streaming alone up +14%.

  • +22% among A25-54 and +25% in A18-49 year-over-year multiplatform viewing.

• Sunday, July 12 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) – averaged 4.59 million viewers, up +12% YoY (4.11m) with streaming alone up +30%.

  • +13% among A25-54 YoY multiplatform viewing

• Wednesday, July 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) – averaged 4.80 million viewers, up +13% YoY (4.26m) with streaming alone up +20%.

  • +18% among A25-54 and up +11% in A18-49 YoY multiplatform viewing.

• BIG BROTHER: UNLOCKED Friday, July 10 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) – averaged 3.44 million viewers, up +46% from its year ago debut (2.36m) and posted its most-watched episode ever.  

BIG BROTHER airs Wednesdays (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT), Thursdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, and Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). BIG BROTHER: UNLOCKED airs Fridays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on July 24, Aug. 7, Sept. 4, Sept. 18 and Sept. 25 on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+.
