2023 CMT MUSIC AWARDS (the “Program”)
SUNDAY, APRIL 2 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT)
on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+
Broadcast Excerpt Usage Terms of Use and Restrictions (the “Terms”)
The following guidelines apply to Domestic, International Broadcasts, Online News and Social Media Sites:
All footage, clips or excerpts from the Program (“Clips”) may be used on a nonexclusive basis, subject to the restrictions set forth below, and may only be used in the segment of your media coverage related to the Program and for no other purpose whatsoever, without the prior written consent of CBS.
Program Broadcast + Online Restrictions:
News programs and services may excerpt portions of the “2023 CMT Music Awards” telecast during the seven days following the live telecast on April 2, 2023 solely for reporting about the “2023 CMT Music Awards” as an event, including, if later, the week-end following such period for weekend-type news programs, and always subject to the following conditions:
Broadcast Restrictions:
1. Up to three minutes in total, but no more than 30 seconds of any single moment or performance, may be used within the period ending the first day following the telecast.
2. Up to one minute in total, not separate from the three minutes referenced above and no more than 30 seconds of any single moment or performance, may be used within the period of the second through seventh days following the telecast.
3. Any display, exhibition or performance of the Program Materials must be accompanied by an unobstructed, on-screen credit stating “Courtesy of CMT/CBS.”
Online Restrictions:
1. Paramount Global Media Networks provides an embeddable video player of show moments and performances here: http://www.cmt.com/cmt-music-awards/videos.
2. Otherwise, up to 30 seconds of any single moment or performance may be used as part of a wrap-up package through the seventh day following the telecast. (For purposes of clarification, you may NOT use portions of the 2023 CMT MUSIC AWARDS as standalone video assets.)
3. Any display, exhibition or performance of the Program Material must be accompanied by an unobstructed, on-screen credit stating “Courtesy of CMT/CBS” and a link to www.cmt.com.
In connection with the foregoing broadcast and/or online uses:
1. In the case of national, international and internet broadcasters:
(a) You may NOT air ANY Clips until the broadcast is over in the Eastern Time Zone;

(b) Between the conclusion of the broadcast in the Eastern Time Zone and the conclusion of the broadcast in the Pacific Time Zone, you may air no more than one (1) minute of Clips; and

(c) Following the conclusion of the broadcast in the Pacific Time Zone, you may air up to an additional two (2) minutes of Clips.
2. For local stations, Clips are embargoed from being aired until the Program has aired in your market.
3. You may not assign or transfer the Clip usage rights hereunder to any other party.
4. The CBS EYE logo may not be obscured.
