New York, NY May 8, 2023 – BET names EMPIRE rapper Larry June as its BET Amplified artist for May. BET Amplified is BET Music's stamp of approval for the next big thing in music. From releasing his first mixtape at 15 years to his new collaborative album with super-producer The Alchemist, The Great Escape, Larry June is on a meteoric rise. His 2022 album Spaceships on the Blade cracked the Billboard 200, while his 2021 album Orange Print topped Billboard's Next Big Sound chart at #1. His retro autobiographical song “Smoothies In 1991” has garnered over 10 million streams since the release of 2019’s Out The Trunk.
